The jigsaw is used in order to cutting the plating pieces. It substituted by the trestle of the marquetry inlayer which was used very often in the XIXème century.

The press allows to flatten the leafs of plating.

The glue made up of a bones and nerves mixing. .
2 kind of papers are used:
-White paper for the reproduction of patterns.
-The Kraft is used for collage and plating.
Woods
Nature offers some very variety of wood colors . There is 3 categories of wood, from outstanding woods(elm, walnut tree) to common woods like poplar and beech tree.

Some materials are used such as , "mother of pearl" horn which are assembled thanks to this tools.
